Rent collection

A rent collection app that pays straight to your bank

Collect rent online in Canada today by bank transfer or card, with US support coming. Rent settles directly to your account, tenants pay nothing for bank transfers, and every payment is tracked against the lease.

Rent lands in your bank, not ours

Payments settle directly to your own account. Unitly never holds your rent, so there is no multi-day platform payout to wait on before you can use the money.

Bank transfer or card

Tenants can pay by bank transfer with no Unitly transaction fee while your account is in good standing, or by card where standard processing fees apply, paid by the tenant where local law allows.

Every payment tracked against the lease

Each rent payment is recorded on the lease it belongs to, so you always know who has paid, who is due, and what is outstanding, without a separate spreadsheet.

Reminders and failed-payment handling

Tenants get rent reminders on the channels you choose. If a payment fails, both sides are notified and the retry policy applies, so a missed transfer does not quietly slip through.

The Unitly dashboard surfacing rent status and units that need attention

See who has paid at a glance

The dashboard surfaces what needs attention across your whole portfolio, so rent that is due or outstanding finds you. Explore it yourself in the live demo.

Common questions

Where can I collect rent online with Unitly?

Online rent collection is live in Canada today, by bank transfer or card. US support is coming. Outside of collecting payments online, every other Unitly feature works wherever you manage rentals.

Do my tenants pay a fee to pay rent?

Bank-transfer rent payments cost your tenants nothing, on every tier, including the free one. Card payments carry a standard processing fee, which is paid by the tenant where local law allows.

How quickly do I get the rent?

Rent settles directly to your own bank account rather than routing through Unitly first, so there is no multi-day platform payout to wait on. Settlement timing depends on your bank and the payment method.

What happens if a rent payment fails?

The payment is marked failed and both you and the tenant are notified. The configured retry policy then applies, and if the payment is still not collected, the charge moves to late after the grace period. A payment is only final once it has settled.
